Calling all Brooklyn students and teachers! Join NYC Votes and Civics For All for an interactive Voter Registration Training on January 31. Students and teachers will learn how to spread the word about voting. You will be trained on how to plan and host a voter engagement event during Civics For All’s annual Civics Week (March 6-10)
This training is located at the Brooklyn Public Library Pacific Branch at 25 Fourth Ave. at, Pacific St, Brooklyn, NY 11217. You can find directions here. As a note, this location is not ADA accessible as there is not an elevator to access the basement.
This is an opportunity to engage your school and community ahead of an important City Council election cycle. If you’ve been wanting to get more involved but weren’t sure where to start, this is the perfect opportunity!
Students who attend will be provided with a Metrocard and dinner. You could also earn service hours for the training and for planning/hosting the event. As per BPL guidelines, masks are not required but are strongly encouraged. Extra face coverings will be provided. If you cannot attend an in-person session, we are also offering two virtual sessions on February 2 and February 9.
