    NYC Votes will host a National Voter Registration Day text bank on Saturday, September 25th from 12:00 – 4:00.  This text bank will recruit student volunteers to help promote voter registration and National Voter Registration Day (NVRD).  Join us as we prepare voters for the General Election this fall.

  • Become an NYC Votes Trusted Messenger

    Join NYC Votes as we discuss ways you can empower your community.  We are recruiting volunteers for our Relational Organizing program to be a ‘trusted messenger’ to their communities by providing their friends, family and neighbors with voting and election information.   Help NYC Vote reach every neighborhood in New York to make sure that no voices are left unheard.

    This meeting will take place via a Zoom call so volunteers will be able to participate from the safety of their homes.

  • Youth Local History Lessons: Robert Moses - Partnership with NYPL

    The NYC Votes Youth Local History Lessons cover the following NYC historical figures: Robert Moses, the Young Lords, and Shirley Chisholm. These lessons are designed to give youth important historical context, while also providing a glimpse into how different actors interact with and navigate local government. Each session ends with an interactive breakout activity and group discussion. The first session will look at the legacy and impact of Robert Moses. Youth ages 14-25 years old, educators, and youth service providers are all encouraged to attend.

    This lesson series is hosted in partnership with the New York Public Library.
