New Yorkers voted by mail and showed up at the polls during one of the biggest health crises we’ve had in our lifetime. COVID-19 put a strain on elections and introduced a citywide voting by mail experience, as Governor Cuomo’s executive order went into effect.  Now we want to hear about your voting experience in the presidential primary on June 23rd. The good, the bad, inspiring, or frustrating, we want to hear from you!

We need elections to work for us all, all the time.

This charter mandated meeting and hearing by the Voter Assistance Advisory Committee of the NYC Campaign Finance Board is held to solicit voting experiences and recommendations from members of the public and our partners. The Voter Assistance Committee wants to hear about your experiences voting during a pandemic.

We will hear testimonies about:

  • The problems New York City voters experienced during the June 23 primary in person;
  • Your experience in voting by mail experience;
  • Other improvements to elections in New York City.

There is limited space to testify at the meeting. Therefore requesting to offer testimony does not guarantee an opportunity to speak. However, every New Yorker is eligible to submit written testimony as a public record.

Public link will be shared to view the meeting.
