Reforms like preregistration for 16- and 17-year-olds, early voting, portable voter registration, and combined primaries have already passed at the state level. And as of earlier this week, we’ll also be getting electronic poll books and, starting in 2021, an online voter registration system through the State Board of Elections website. But there’s still more work to be done in order to make New York a leading state for voting rights.
