Calling all Staten Island students and teachers! Join NYC Votes and Civics For All for an interactive Voter Registration Training. Students and teachers will learn how to spread the word about voting. You will be trained on how to plan and host a voter engagement event during Civics For All’s annual Civics Week (March 6-10)
This training will take place at the New Dorp Library Branch which is located at 309 New Dorp Ln, Staten Island, NY 10306. You can find directions here.
This is an opportunity to engage your school and community ahead of an important City Council election cycle. If you’ve been wanting to get more involved but weren’t sure where to start this is the perfect opportunity!
Students who attend will be provided with a Metrocard and dinner. You could also earn service hours for the training and for planning/hosting the event. As per NYPL guidelines, masks are not required but are strongly encouraged. Extra face coverings will be provided. For those who cannot attend an in-person session, we are offering two virtual sessions on February 2 and February 9.
